This makes it an effective natural skin treatment for hives. You can drink a cup of turmeric tea twice a day or you can also apply a turmeric paste topically on the affected area.

2. Make Baking Soda Paste

Baking soda is a popular treatment for hives. It can help lessen the itch and inflammation of the affected area. Simply make a paste out of it and apply it on the affected area for around 10 minutes. Rinse it with warm water afterward.

3. Try a Cold Compress

Doing cold compress can help constrict your blood vessels, thus, lessening the inflammation. It will also reduce the itchy feeling and swelling. Do it for 3 to 4 times a day for around 10 minutes each time. You can also try a cold bath in the shower or in the tub if you have enough ice.

4. Try an Apple Cider Vinegar Bath

Apple cider vinegar contains antihistamine properties that will help quickly reduce inflammation of the affected area. It also has a role in restoring the health of your skin. Soak yourself in a tub mixed with 2 cups of apple cider vinegar for 15 to 20 minutes daily. You can also just wash the affected area with a diluted apple cider vinegar.

5. Rub on Some Aloe Vera

Aloe vera contains both antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. It can help reduce the itch and redness if applied topically on the affected area. If it is taken internally, it can help stimulate your immunity and help reduce inflammatory toxins. To topically apply it, leave it for 15 minutes and rinse it using lukewarm water. Drinking two tablespoons daily can also help boost your immune system.

6. Make Oatmeal Paste

Oatmeal is a great treatment for hives since it has a soothing effect. Also, it has anti-irritating and anti-inflammatory properties that helps you with your itch and inflammation. Simply make a paste made out of oatmeal and topically apply it on the affected area for 15 to 20 minutes. Then wash it with lukewarm water.

7. Drink a Few Cups of Ginger Tea

Ginger is sometimes called a wonder drug as it can treat several ailments due to its strong antihistamine and anti-inflammatory properties. It will target the enzymes that trigger inflammation, thus, helping improve the blood circulation in the affected area while reducing the itchy feeling and relieve you of the swelling.

Try drinking a cup of ginger tea or chew a fresh piece of ginger two to three times a day. Alternatively, you can also directly apply a peeled ginger onto the affected area. For an extra cooling effect, try chilling the ginger first before doing the topical application.
